I have been concerned for some time that people are so caught up in opposing Trump and his craziness that they are losing sight of the big picture — the threatened destruction of Social Security, Medicare, environmental regulation, banking regulation and a host of other long-time targets of the right wing. I keep telling impeachment enthusiasts that Pence is worse, because he is a competent villain. When a friend designed an anti-Trump button, I designed one with the word RESIST on a white rose to change the focus to opposition to the whole GOP agenda. Again and again I see postings criticizing Trump’s behavior and calling his supporters idiots or “deplorables,” which just solidifies his support, as argued in an opinion piece in today’s New York Times. Now I see that Robert Reich's source is confirming my view. It is time to stop reacting to tweets and start reacting full time to the Republican twits who are bent on undoing every good piece of legislation and regulation since FDR was in the White House.
